Summary

Swimming pools and spa pools provide a popular recreational water resource. While they are an enjoyable form of recreation, swimming pools and spa pools must be properly maintained and adequately cleaned and disinfected to ensure that bathers are not subjected to health risks. There are some health risks involved in these activities if appropriate hygiene procedures aren’t followed. This fact sheet is designed to make you aware of these risks.
